4th Annual Cochise County Sheriff’s Charity Ride

SIERRA VISTA, Az., October 25, 2016 — ChenegaTI is a proud Gold sponsor of the 4th Annual Cochise County Sheriff’s Charity Ride Saturday November 5th at the American Southwest Credit Union in Sierra Vista.

This charity event was created by Cochise County Sheriff’s Community Outreach Unit in 2013. It’s mission is to give back to the community by providing an opportunity for the public to partner with law enforcement to enhance the quality of life for all residents in Cochise County.

The 4th Annual Charity Ride takes on a familiar theme, a scavenger hunt! Both cars and motorcycles can participate and will be on separate routes throughout the county. By participating in fun activities at stop points and finding scavenger hunt items along their journey, participants will have a chance to win amazing raffle items!

This year the beneficiaries are two local and very worthwhile charities:

The Stocking Stuffer Program, which provides new clothing to children in need around the community within Cochise County. Clothes are shopped for, wrapped, and delivered directly to the parents in the home. The children do not know the clothing came from the program. That way, the gifts may be from the parents or from Santa.  This program has clothed approximately 850 children in 2015, and are looking to increase that number for 2016!

The Giving Tree Program assists military families in need on Fort Huachuca at Christmas time. After requests come in and are approved by the soldier’s Chaplin or 1SG, ornaments containing a code and the item requested are hung on Christmas trees in select locations throughout Fort Huachuca. Members of the public can choose to take an ornament and donate that item to the program. The items donated are then delivered to the families at Christmas time.
